Dmitrii Larichev

Dmitrii Larichev is an entrepreneur and the founder of Mera. He came into sports tech from professional sport: a 3x national cycling champion who has spent more than 10 years coaching endurance athletes.

Before Mera, Dmitrii built Velorace, an e-commerce and athlete training business where athletes trained on bikes in a virtual environment. He worked extensively with training data, exercise physiology and athlete testing. Velorace was featured by RBC.

That experience became the foundation for Mera. Dmitrii saw how much data a VO₂max, lactate or other physiological test produces, and how little of it is actually used afterwards. Very often the process ends with a report an athlete or coach opens once and rarely comes back to.

Today he is building Mera, a platform for working with metabolic performance data. It brings physiological test results and other athlete data into one place, tracks changes between tests, and uses AI and specialized models to analyze the results. Mera works with performance centers, coaches, sports teams and university labs in different countries, and has been supported by international accelerator programs including ITU SEED and Innogate.

Dmitrii is also a longevity activist. He took part in the creation of the documentary Biohacking, which reached an audience of several million people, and later produced a popular science film about life extension together with the Open Longevity team. He continues to support longevity projects and public initiatives.

In parallel, Dmitrii is completing an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at Gebze Technical University in Türkiye. He has spent the last four years in Istanbul, where he is building his professional network and developing Unicorn Embassy Istanbul as part of an international community of entrepreneurs. Through Unicorn Embassy he organizes meetups and lectures in Istanbul together with well-known people from science and the startup world. Earlier he was Director of Founder Institute Moscow.
